This evaluation event, hosted by the Gyeongbuk Province Eco-friendly Agriculture Association, saw the county submit six items including organic sweet potatoes, dried chili peppers, and napa cabbage cultivated through high-quality eco-friendly farming. The sweet potato (Beniharuka) grown organically by farmer Jeong Chandong from Ilwol-myeon, Yeongyang-gun, won the grand prize (Governor of Gyeongbuk Award) in the special crop and tuber category, bringing honor to the county.
During the event, promotional and sales activities were held, where Yeongyang-gun’s organic chili powder, mixed grains, and Good Songi mushrooms were promoted and sold, providing a great opportunity to introduce the county’s excellent agricultural products to consumers.
