KAMCO Wins 'Excellence Award' at Board of Audit and Inspection's Internal Audit Contest
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunju Lee] On the 18th, Korea Asset Management Corporation (KAMCO) announced that it received the 'Excellence Award' at the Board of Audit and Inspection's (BAI) '2022 Internal Audit Contest' held at the BAI Dasom Hall (2nd floor).
The 'Internal Audit Contest' is a competition conducted by the BAI since 2018 targeting 668 organizations including central administrative agencies, local governments, and public institutions to discover and share outstanding audit cases and to promote proactive administration.
KAMCO was selected as one of the 13 final organizations through the BAI's first preliminary review, second expert review, and third presentation review, and was awarded the 'Excellence Award.'
KAMCO analyzed that its consulting audit, which proactively prevents risk factors throughout the project such as appropriateness of contract and construction handling in public development projects, safety at development sites, protection of workers, and eradication of unfair practices, received high evaluation.

Kyung Yun-ho, KAMCO's Standing Auditor, stated, “This award is significant as it recognizes KAMCO's public ethics efforts through consulting audits that protect workers' lives and safety and expand win-win cooperation with private partner companies,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to strengthen internal controls so that KAMCO becomes a public institution trusted by the people and the government.”
