Arts Council Korea plans to support various activities of participating writers in this project in collaboration with Kakao. Starting from November this year, both parties will support the publication of outstanding literary works through Kakao's content publishing platform Brunch and conduct related promotions.
Earlier, Arts Council Korea newly established the 'Arko Literary Creation Fund (Publication Support)' project this year, which selects works and provides a grant of 2 million KRW along with opportunities for online publication.
This project was designed to revitalize creative activities by expanding new publication venues, addressing the major difficulty in the literary creation process of lacking space for publishing works. The Arko Literary Creation Fund (Publication Support) project is scheduled to be implemented in March next year.
Brunch is a content platform that supports anyone to read and write good writing, currently hosting over 56,000 active writers. Selected writers in this support project will present their works directly as 'Brunch Books' on Brunch. It is expected that the intersection of pure literature will expand significantly based on Brunch's diverse user base.
