Hana Bank Launches 'Benefit Overseas Remittance' Receiving US Dollars As Is
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] Hana Bank announced on the 21st that it will provide the ‘Bene-Fit Overseas Remittance’ service to customers sending US dollars to the United States.
This service drastically reduces fees compared to existing overseas remittances. Regardless of the remittance amount, it is possible to send money with a fee of 5,000 KRW per transaction. Customers receiving money in the United States can receive the full amount sent by the sender without any additional overseas bank fees deducted. The service can be used through Hana Bank’s mobile banking application ‘Hana One Q’ or the dedicated remittance app ‘Hana EZ’. Remittance is possible as long as the recipient’s US account number and bank code number are known. To commemorate the launch of the service, an event will be held for users until the 20th of next month.
