Anseong Yangchon-ri '5th General Industrial Complex' Groundbreaking in January Next Year... 212.1 Billion Won Invested
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] An industrial complex will be established in the Yangchon-ri area of Seoun-myeon, Anseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, with an investment of 210 billion KRW.
Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) recently announced a bid for the site development work of the Anseong 5th General Industrial Complex and stated on the 21st that it plans to invest a total of 212.1 billion KRW to develop an industrial complex on 710,000㎡ (47 lots) in the Yangchon-ri area.
The corporation plans to break ground in January next year with a completion target of 2026.
The Anseong 5th General Industrial Complex is adjacent to the existing Anseong 4th Industrial Complex and is located 10 minutes from the Nam Anseong IC on the Pyeongtaek-Jecheon Expressway.
It is equipped with transportation infrastructure such as Local Road No. 23 and Local Road No. 57, providing good regional accessibility.
The industrial complex aims to meet the increasing demand for industrial complexes in Anseong-si and to guide scattered factories into planned locations, thereby creating an industrial cluster focused on small and medium-sized enterprises.
In particular, it is expected to contribute to regional industrial development and economic revitalization by attracting eight industries including other machinery, rubber, and food products.
This development project started in 2017 but faced difficulties when the Korea Federation of SMEs, a joint implementer, gave up its status due to changes in business conditions.
However, GH made efforts to normalize the project through re-surveying demand for occupancy and changing land use plans, and the project has now been put back on track.

A GH official explained, "Although there were various difficulties such as changes in business conditions for the Anseong 5th General Industrial Complex, permits and compensation have been completed, and full-scale construction will begin in January next year."
