Shell Reported Found in Incheon Park... Police Confirm It Is a Dummy Shell
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jin-young] The military authorities and police responded to a report of a shell found in a park in Incheon, but it was confirmed to be a training dummy shell with no explosion risk.
According to the Gyeyang Police Station in Incheon on the 20th, a report was received at 12:22 PM the previous day about "an object that appears to be a shell" in a sports park in Gyeyang-gu, Incheon.
The military Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team collected and inspected the shell, confirming it was not a real shell but a 60mm training dummy mortar shell used for drills.
The police set up a police line within a 20 to 30-meter radius of the incident site and controlled access around the area until the military authorities completed their on-site measures.

A police official stated, "The dummy shell was confirmed to have no explosion risk whatsoever," adding, "The military is investigating how the training shell was leaked."
