"To Give Scholarships to 'Hyung-a' High School and College Students" ... Cheongsong Middle School Donates 160,000 Won from School Festival Profits
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] The profits earned by middle school students at their school festival were not very large. However, the students did not want to spend the money on buying bread or similar things.
Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk (Governor Yoon Kyung-hee) announced on the 18th that on the 17th, students of Cheongsong Middle School donated 160,000 won in profits from the school's SW & AI Experience Festival to the Cheongsong-gun Talent Development Scholarship Foundation.
The students agreed to use the profits for a good cause while preparing for the event and decided to donate the money as scholarships for their senior high school and university brothers and sisters. Although the amount was small, the students chose to practice sharing in a meaningful way.
Yoon Kyung-hee, Governor of Cheongsong-gun and chairman of the Cheongsong-gun Talent Development Scholarship Foundation, praised the students, saying, “The scholarship donated by our students is worth several tens or hundreds of times more than the amount.”
