Gurye Sansuyu Wellness Festival to be Held for 2 Days Starting from the 19th
Postponed 2 Weeks Due to Itaewon Tragedy, Safety and Resident Income Linkage Are Top Priorities
Opening Performance (Kim Heejae, Park Gun) and Sansuyu Food Development Demonstration
[Gurye=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yuk Miseok] Jeollanam-do Gurye-gun announced that the "Gurye Sansuyu Wellness Festival," postponed for two weeks due to the Itaewon tragedy, will be held from November 19 to 20 at the Sansuyu Flower Festival site in Sandong-myeon, Gurye-gun.
This festival is promoted with support from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to utilize Gurye Sansuyu, which accounts for 77% of the national Sansuyu production, as a tourism resource and to revitalize the local economy.
On the first day, a food talk show called "Alssulsinbap," featuring famous food critics such as Hwang Kyo-ik and Park Sang-hyun, will be held, along with an opening celebration performance by Kim Hee-jae, Park Gun, Jang Ha-on, and others.
On the second day, there will be a demonstration of Sansuyu food development with Chef Kang Leo.
Those who pre-register for the "Alssulsinbap" and "Chef Kang Leo" programs will receive souvenirs along with free Sansuyu experience tickets.
In addition, visitors to the festival can enjoy various hands-on activities such as Sansuyu peeling, Sansuyu rice cake pounding, and making extracts and liquor, as well as various events including a Sansuyu mobile stamp tour, SNS events, roulette events, SNS photo contests, and walking along the Sansuyu Flower Wall Road.
County Governor Kim Soon-ho said, "Even though the festival will be held, we will strengthen safety inspections in a quiet atmosphere, and through the Sansuyu fruit festival, we plan to regularly hold the festival to enhance the Gurye Sansuyu brand value and link it to residents' income."
