[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] The Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs (TIPA) announced on the 14th that it held a blood donation campaign on the 11th at its Sejong headquarters to prevent blood shortages during the winter season and to foster a voluntary blood donation culture.
According to the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the number of blood donors is expected to decrease due to the cold winter weather and winter vacation. Therefore, TIPA organized a campaign targeting its employees to proactively prevent a blood supply crisis during the winter and to help secure a stable blood supply.
To promote participation in this blood donation activity, the campaign was held jointly with the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development, located in the same district, and was conducted using a blood donation bus parked near the first-floor parking lot of TIPA’s Sejong headquarters.
To ensure the safety of blood donation participants, the blood donation leave system, newly established last year, was encouraged to allow sufficient rest. The organizing department continuously monitored order maintenance, hand sanitizer use, and mask-wearing.
