Suwon City Conducts On-Site Inspection of Subsidies and Childcare Fees at All Local Daycare Centers
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Suwon City in Gyeonggi Province will conduct on-site inspections of subsidies and childcare fees at local daycare centers from the 10th to the 30th.
This inspection focuses on verifying the status of fraudulent receipt of subsidies and childcare fees at daycare centers in Suwon to enhance the transparency of daycare center operations and create a trustworthy childcare environment.
The inspection targets all daycare centers in Suwon, including those selected and notified by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, as well as national/public, private, and home daycare centers.
The inspection team, composed of public officials from the Suwon City and district offices responsible for childcare, will visit daycare centers during the investigation period to check overall operations. If signs of child abuse or other complaints arise, immediate action will be taken in cooperation with relevant agencies.
Suwon City will particularly conduct planned investigations to check ▲ fraudulent receipt of subsidies and childcare fees (such as false registration of children or childcare staff, manipulation of attendance records, etc.) ▲ appropriateness of revenue and expenditure management (improper claims or spending, use for personal purposes) ▲ proper financial and accounting operations.
Additionally, consulting services will be provided to help strengthen daycare center operational capabilities, including child safety management (CCTV within facilities, meals and hygiene, vehicles, playgrounds, etc.).
The city will immediately correct minor issues on-site based on inspection results, and if violations are found, administrative measures such as suspension of daycare center operations, facility closure, or subsidy recovery will be imposed after reviewing relevant laws.
