Gyeonggi Office of Education to Provide 'Flawless Support' for College Entrance Exam on 17th... Remote Classes to Begin from 14th
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will operate the '2023 College Scholastic Ability Test' held on the 17th by dividing it into general test centers, separate test centers, and hospital test centers.
Additionally, starting from the 14th, three days before the College Scholastic Ability Test, all high schools in the province will switch to 'remote classes.' Furthermore, measures will be taken to protect examinees and supervisors, and preparatory work will be conducted for each test center.
According to the Gyeonggi Office of Education on the 9th, the total number of examinees for this year's CSAT in the province is 146,623, an increase of 2,681 compared to last year. They will take the test in 7,270 rooms across 357 schools in 19 districts within the province.
The Gyeonggi Office of Education will operate test centers divided into ▲general test centers for general examinees ▲separate test centers for isolated examinees ▲hospital test centers for isolated examinees receiving inpatient treatment.
General test centers will have separate 'isolation rooms' for examinees showing symptoms.
Separate test centers will be divided into test rooms for home treatment patients (confirmed cases), home quarantine patients (symptomatic), and home quarantine patients (asymptomatic).
Examinees whose symptoms worsen during home treatment and require inpatient care can report to the relevant district education support office and take the test at a designated hospital.
In particular, if examinees get tested at hospitals or public health center screening clinics on the day before the CSAT, the 16th, and identify themselves as CSAT candidates, they can receive expedited testing. Examinees who test positive must immediately notify the district education support office, which will facilitate smooth test participation by arranging separate test centers, etc.
All examinees will receive their admission tickets during the preliminary assembly on the 16th, but confirmed or isolated examinees will receive them directly at their respective test centers on the test day.
On the test day, examinees can enter the test center from 6:30 a.m. by bringing their admission ticket and ID. However, entry is prohibited after 8:10 a.m. All examinees will undergo temperature checks and symptom screening before entering, and those showing symptoms such as fever will take the test in isolation rooms.
