View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Dong-joo] On the 8th, Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, visited the Itaewon Police Substation in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, to encourage the police officers.
Visiting the Itaewon Police Substation for the first time since the 'Itaewon tragedy,' Lee said to the officers on site, "You worked so hard that day. I can only imagine how painful it must have been," and added, "I believe you did your best at the scene."
He then inquired about the psychological treatment of the staff and said, "This is a pain experienced by the entire nation, and the frontline officers have also made great efforts. I hope you will do your best in the aftermath management as well."
