Gyeongnam Province to Distribute Next Year's 'Sports Class Usage Vouchers' to Over 6,900 People
Support for Sports Course Fees of 95,000 Won per Month for One Year
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Gyeongsangnam-do Province is recruiting beneficiaries for the 2023 Sports Lecture Voucher Project from the 8th to the 22nd.
The Sports Lecture Voucher Project is a program that provides opportunities for sports participation to vulnerable children and adolescents by supporting up to 95,000 KRW per month for sports lecture fees for up to one year.
According to the province, the number of beneficiaries next year will expand to about 6,900, an increase of about 2,000 from approximately 4,900 this year.
For residents in rural, fishing villages, and remote island areas without sports facilities who cannot benefit from the Sports Lecture Voucher, short-term sports experience lectures will also be provided within an annual limit of up to 500,000 KRW.
The project targets children and adolescents aged 5 to 18, born between 2005 and 2018, from basic livelihood security recipients, near-poverty groups, and legally single-parent families receiving livelihood, medical, housing, or education benefits.
Applications can be submitted through the Sports Lecture Voucher website or by visiting the applicant’s local city/county office or the resident center in their district to apply in writing.
The province plans to select beneficiaries from November 29 to December 13 and announce the results on the local city/county office website or via mobile text messages.
