The Yi Sun-sin Trilogy Project Includes Post-Credits Scene
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] Lotte Entertainment announced on the 8th that the director's extended version of the movie 'Hansan: Rising Dragon,' which attracted 7.26 million viewers and was a box office success, titled 'Hansan Redux,' with an additional 21 minutes and 15 seconds, will be released on the 16th.
'Hansan Redux' depicts the untold stories of Admiral Yi Sun-sin's anguish and those who fought in the naval battle that determined Joseon's fate during the early stages of the Imjin War in 1592. The extended version includes expanded narratives of various characters including Admiral Yi Sun-sin and enriched sequences of the Hansan naval battle.

The film portrays Admiral Yi Sun-sin's human side, the alliance formation within the Japanese forces, and the stories of the righteous armies, giving each character a more vivid depiction. Director Kim Han-min stated, “I focused on creating a richer drama and a perfect completion of the naval battle.” The extended version also features a scene not shown in the original, where Admiral Yi Sun-sin and his mother have a conversation before departure, as well as Director Kim appearing as General Kwon Yul. A post-credits scene connecting the Yi Sun-sin trilogy project will also be revealed. Additionally, 'Hansan Redux' will hold a TEAM Hansan welcome back showcase and special screening at Lotte Cinema World Tower at 7 PM on the 11th.
