Chosun University Job Center Holds Award Ceremony for 'Mock Job Interview Competition'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Chosun University University Job Plus Center recently announced on the 7th that it held an awards ceremony for the ‘2022 Mock Job Application Competition’ for job seekers.
The ‘2022 Mock Job Application Competition’ was planned to help students prepare for successful employment by practicing the exact hiring process used by real companies, allowing them to indirectly experience the recruitment procedure, check their job preparation status, and diagnose their employment capabilities.
Participating students attended a ‘Special Lecture on How to Write a Job Application’ for one week, submitted their applications, and 25 students were selected based on the selection criteria.
For the selected students, practical interview lectures and consulting were conducted again, and through face-to-face interviews, a total of 17 students were chosen: 4 Grand Prize winners, 4 Excellence Award winners, 4 Merit Award winners, and 5 Encouragement Award winners.
By gaining prior experience in writing job applications and mock interviews, students are expected to strengthen their practical employment skills and competitiveness, self-assess their job preparation and employment capabilities, and concretize their career planning and self-development plans.
Kim Minwoo (4th year, Department of Electronic Engineering), who won the Grand Prize, said, “I participated in the Mock Job Application Competition while preparing with the help of the University Job Plus Center consultant before a company interview. This eventually became an opportunity that led to my final job acceptance. I hope other students also receive help from the University Job Plus Center and succeed in getting jobs.”
