Studio Samik "Will Strengthen ESG Management Policy"
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Online furniture distribution company Studio Samik announced on the 7th that it will strengthen its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management policy through various social contribution activities.
Since its establishment in 2017, Studio Samik has been practicing community contribution activities every year. It has participated in the 'Habitat for Humanity Love House Building Campaign' since 2018 and has been involved in the residential environment improvement project for fire disaster support households in Seoul since 2019.
Studio Samik produces and provides new furniture suitable for families affected by winter fires. The company handles the entire process from product manufacturing to delivery.
With the aim of conducting sustainable social contribution activities in various forms, in December last year, Studio Samik signed a 'Social Contribution Agreement' with the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Social Welfare Council. Based on this agreement, Studio Samik is expanding the scope of its social contribution activities in new ways, including participating in the composition and planning of welfare programs.
A company representative stated, "All employees are striving to realize the company's vision of 'a company that coexists with society through positive influence.'"
He added, "We were recognized for our social contribution activities and received the third grade out of seven levels in ESG last year, and this year, we were able to achieve a higher score with the second grade (AA)."
