According to the Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters, firefighters who received a fire report from the neighboring villa arrived at the scene at 0:07 and extinguished the main fire around 0:26.
The fire burned one unit measuring 35㎡ and part of the ceiling in the corridors on the 3rd and 4th floors, and was completely extinguished by 1:05 a.m. Five people who inhaled toxic gases and smoke were transported to the hospital.
The villa is a residential building with a pilotis on the 1st floor and six units on each floor from the 2nd to the 4th floors.
At the fire scene, 30 vehicles including fire trucks and 102 firefighting personnel were deployed, and property damage estimated by the fire station amounted to approximately 36,904,000 KRW.
