View original imageOn the 6th, Park Eun-shin scored 5-under par on the final day of the KPGA Korean Tour Golfzon-Doray Open (total prize money 700 million KRW) held at Golfzon County Seonsan Country Club in Gumi-si, Gyeongbuk (par 72, 7,120 yards), achieving a one-stroke victory (17-under par 271). This marks his second win of the season, six months after his first career victory in his 13th year at the Descente Korea Munsingwear Match Play in May. The winner’s prize money is 140 million KRW.
Starting the day with a one-stroke lead, Park Eun-shin made an eagle and four birdies (with one bogey). After an eagle on the 6th hole (par 5), he briefly paused with a bogey on the 8th hole (par 3), then fired three consecutive birdies from the 9th to 11th holes. He maintained par for six holes before clinching a thrilling victory with a birdie on the final 18th hole (par 5).
In March, Park Eun-shin faced a crisis when he was diagnosed with rhabdomyolysis, a condition affecting the kidneys caused by a rupture of the rhabdomyoma attached to the leg joint, which threatened his golfing career. Diagnosed with a rare disease caused by excessive exercise, Park reduced his training volume and still managed to secure his second career win following his first.
