SPC Samlip Apologizes for Employee's Unauthorized Labor Ministry Document Photography... "Disciplinary Action"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] SPC Samlip apologized for an incident in which one of its employees was caught secretly photographing documents belonging to an official from the Ministry of Employment and Labor.
On the 5th, SPC Samlip issued an apology statement under the name of CEO Hwang Jong-hyun, stating, "On the 3rd, during an investigation by the Ministry of Employment and Labor at an SPC Samlip workplace, one of our employees leaked the supervisor's documents. We deeply acknowledge the grave responsibility for this unacceptable incident and sincerely apologize for obstructing the investigation by the authorities and causing public concern."
They further explained, "The employee involved has been immediately removed from their duties, and once the circumstances are confirmed, swift and strict disciplinary action will be taken. We will establish and strictly enforce measures to ensure thorough reflection and enhancement of ethical awareness."
They added, "We will sincerely cooperate with all investigations, including labor inspections by the relevant authorities, with a repentant attitude."

Earlier, on the 3rd, at the SPC Samlip Sejong Production Center, which was under supervision by the Daejeon Employment and Labor Office, an employee of the company was found to have taken unauthorized photographs of the supervision plan. The Daejeon Employment and Labor Office identified the incident, reported the employee to the police on charges of obstructing official duties, and demanded SPC Samlip to hold those responsible accountable.
