Export Opportunities for Local Companies Expand Further... Park Wan-su, Governor of Gyeongnam, Holds Meeting with US Korean Chamber of Commerce Delegation

Governor Park held a meeting together with Koo Jacheon, Chairman of the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with Choi Haengryeol, Chief Senior Vice Chairman of the Federation of Korean American Chambers of Commerce in the U.S., Koo Gyojin, Chairman of the Korean American Chamber of Commerce of Orange County, USA, Tammy Kim, Irvine City Council member, and Carlos Oregon, Chairman of the Irvine Chamber of Commerce.
According to Gyeongnam Province, the Korean American Chambers of Commerce of Orange County and Irvine, as well as the Federation of Korean American Chambers of Commerce in the U.S., visited Korea on the 1st to participate in the ‘20th World Korean Business Convention’ held in Ulsan.
They signed a business agreement with the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the same day and established partnership agreements to cooperate in trade activities to expand exports to the U.S. and to support member companies’ entry into the U.S. market.
Gyeongnam Province introduced the tourism and investment environment of Gyeongsangnam-do to the U.S. chamber delegation and discussed cooperation plans to expand exports of local companies to the U.S. and develop market channels.
Governor Park said, “I hope this business agreement with the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry will serve as an opportunity to activate human and material exchanges and that a good relationship will continue,” adding, “Please support the excellent agricultural products from Gyeongnam that are being exported to the U.S.”
He continued, “Gyeongnam Province will contribute to the successful hosting of the 21st World Korean Business Convention next year in Orange County.”
The World Korean Business Convention is an event designed to bring together overseas Korean businesspeople and domestic entrepreneurs to build a global network and enhance the international competitiveness of the Korean people.
