This event is hosted by Busan City and organized by BEXCO, the Korea Fisheries Trade Association, and the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives, featuring 950 booths with participation from 330 companies across 22 countries, making it the only fisheries specialized expo in Korea.
Gijang-gun will participate jointly with two local seafood processing companies to externally promote excellent seafood products such as miyeok (seaweed), dashima (kelp), and anchovies, and to pioneer distribution channels for seafood processing companies.
Selected from the recruitment announcement for local seafood processing companies in September, the two companies operating independent booths are ▲ ‘Baron Food,’ a sauce specialty company developing sauces using Gijang dashima and anchovies, and ▲ ‘Gijang Fermentation Cooperative,’ a village enterprise developing Makgeolli using miyeok and dashima.
Additionally, an exhibition event themed "Gijang Seafood User Manual" will be operated, consisting of ▲ Seafood Man Lab, Gijang Seafood (introduction to Gijang miyeok and dashima special zone) ▲ Have you tried Gijang seafood? (introduction of various seafood processed products) ▲ The holy land of fisheries, Gijang (operation of direct sales stores and promotion centers), providing diverse information to visitors.
Along with promotional items of miyeok and dashima purchased at the "Daebyeon Fishery Cooperative Seafood Direct Sales Store," a leaflet listing Gijang seafood and seafood processing companies will also be provided to promote seafood consumption and offer promotional opportunities to companies unable to participate in this expo.
