ISO 45001 is an international certification established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in the field of occupational health and safety management. It is awarded to companies or organizations that have a systematic safety management system in place.
This year, Hanshin Engineering & Construction has been promoting initiatives to achieve the goal of "eradication of serious accidents," including ▲ the introduction of a smart occupational health and safety system ▲ upgrading the dedicated occupational health and safety department to the Occupational Health and Safety Management Office ▲ holding quarterly company-wide resolutions to eradicate serious accidents. Its internally operated "Hanshin TOP Occupational Health and Safety System" risk assessments and on-site occupational health and safety inspection system conducted by headquarters were also highly evaluated.

With this certification, Hanshin Engineering & Construction plans to further accelerate its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) management efforts. Kim Kyung-soo, head of the Occupational Health and Safety Management Office at Hanshin Engineering & Construction, said, "Our consistent efforts to establish an independent occupational health and safety management system have resulted in obtaining this certification," adding, "We will continue to implement Hanshin Engineering & Construction’s occupational health and safety management policy, which prioritizes safety above all else."
