[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seo-hee] No Seung-yeol (31) and An Byeong-hoon (31) both rose to a tie for 41st place on the second day of the tournament.
On the 28th (local time), No Seung-yeol and An Byeong-hoon tied for 41st place with a 7-under-par 135 in the second round of the PGA Tour Butterfield Bermuda Championship (total prize money $6.5 million) held at Port Royal Golf Club (par 71) in Southampton, Bermuda, USA. They are 7 strokes behind the leader Ben Crane (USA), who is at 14-under-par 128.
Starting at the 10th hole, No Seung-yeol gained momentum by recording consecutive birdies at the 13th and 14th holes and added another birdie at the 18th hole (par 4). He continued his clean play with no bogeys, adding a birdie at the 7th hole (par 5) on the back nine. Finishing with a 4-under-par 71, No Seung-yeol climbed 26 spots from the previous day to rank 41st.
An Byeong-hoon showed some regret in his final concentration. Starting at the 1st hole, An Byeong-hoon finished the front nine on a high note with birdies at the 2nd, 5th, and 7th holes. On the back nine, he made a bogey at the 10th hole (par 4) but immediately recovered with a birdie at the 15th hole (par 4). However, he lost points with consecutive bogeys at the 17th and 18th holes near the end of the round. Finishing with a 1-under-par 70, An Byeong-hoon dropped 25 spots and formed the same group as No Seung-yeol.
Since winning the FedEx St. Jude Classic in June 2014, veteran Ben Crane has not had any additional victories, drawing attention to whether he can achieve his 5th PGA Tour win in this tournament.
