The Democratic Party of Korea fully boycotted the budget address, citing the prosecution's search of the central party office related to Lee Jae-myung's presidential campaign funds and the party's harsh remarks toward the National Assembly. This is the first time in constitutional history that a president's budget address has been boycotted.
The People Power Party responded with 19 rounds of applause during the 18-minute speech by President Yoon.
