60-Year-Old Czech Seberacek Choir Presents Moving Harmony in Hampyeong
From the 28th to the 29th... Showcasing a Variety of Music Including Traditional Choral Songs and K-Pop
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] The Czech Severa?ek Choir, with a 60-year tradition, presents a moving harmony in Hampyeong-gun, Jeollanam-do.
According to the county on the 25th, to commemorate the opening of the 2022 Korea Chrysanthemum Festival, an invited performance by the Czech Severa?ek Choir will be held over two days on the 28th and 29th.
Founded in 1958, the Czech Severa?ek Choir has won numerous awards in competitions held in major European countries such as the United Kingdom, Belgium, and Spain, and actively performs worldwide as a cultural ambassador of the Czech Republic.
Conducted by Sylvie Langrov?, 30 youth members of the choir will visit Hampyeong to offer beautiful melodies and emotions with heavenly harmony to the residents and tourists visiting the Chrysanthemum Festival.
In this performance, the Severa?ek Choir will present a diverse program encompassing eras and cultures, including authentic Baroque choral pieces, Czech folk music, and K-pop songs such as BTS's "Butter" and Park Jihoon's "Doraji Flower".
County Governor Lee Sang-ik said, "I hope that cultural, artistic, and educational exchanges between Hampyeong and Liberec, Czech Republic, will continue actively through the common denominator of culture and arts."
