Lunit Signs Medical AI Solution Partnership Agreement with Abu Dhabi Health Services Company, UAE

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Chunhee Lee] Medical artificial intelligence (AI) company Lunit announced on the 24th that it has signed a business agreement with the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to introduce AI image analysis solutions.
The signing ceremony was held recently at Lunit's headquarters in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, with about 10 officials attending, including Jang Minhong, Lunit's Chief Business Officer (CBO), and Dr. Afra Rashed Saeed Almesaied Alneyadi, a radiology specialist from SEHA.
SEHA's visit to Korea this time was made upon invitation from the Korea Hospital Association and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) to attend the 'K-HOSPITAL FAIR 2022' held from the 29th of last month to the 1st of this month. Established in 2007, SEHA is the largest integrated healthcare service organization in the Middle East, operating 14 general hospitals with over 3,000 beds and numerous medical centers.
Through this business agreement, both parties agreed to conduct a technical verification (PoC) of Lunit Insight, an AI image analysis solution product. Lunit will provide its chest X-ray image analysis solution 'Lunit Insight CXR' and mammography image analysis solution 'Lunit Insight MMG,' and SEHA plans to proceed with the technical verification at its operated medical institutions by the end of this year.
Seobum Seok, CEO of Lunit, said, "Lunit officially entered the Middle Eastern market in March by signing a supply contract for Lunit Insight with Roche Middle East." He added, "This business agreement with SEHA is expected to be a great opportunity to supply Lunit products to Middle Eastern medical institutions and to innovate public healthcare services in the Middle East."

Dr. Afra Rashed Saeed Almesaied Alneyadi, a radiology specialist at SEHA, also stated, "Through this agreement, we will actively consider introducing Korea's world-class AI medical image analysis solutions together with Lunit." He added, "The ultimate goal of this agreement is to provide better medical services to healthcare professionals and patients by introducing AI into the medical environment."
