This event is hosted by Imsil-gun and Imsil & Yangnyeom Co., Ltd., and organized by the Imsil & Yangnyeom Village Project Group.
The county is accepting advance reservations by phone and through the website until the 31st for smooth product supply.
Applications are accepted reflecting the desired receipt date so that applicants can receive the products on their preferred date.
The sales method includes courier delivery and non-face-to-face on-site pickup, and the sales price for a set of salted napa cabbage (20kg) and seasoning (10kg) is 182,000 KRW including delivery fee.
If picked up directly at the Imsil & Yangnyeom Village Project Group, the purchase price is 175,000 KRW excluding the delivery fee.
The Imsil Crispy Kimchi Festival has been a great success since its first year in 2016, gaining popularity through word of mouth and experiencing explosive growth in applicants every year.
In particular, it provides fresh kimchi sets using high-quality napa cabbage, red pepper powder, and agricultural products produced in clean Imsil, earning high trust and favorable reviews from consumers.
Last year, a total of 90 tons were sold, recording sales of 450 million KRW, showing a steady increase in consumers.
This year, the county plans to secure 100 tons of product volume and sell salted napa cabbage and seasoning boasting the best quality.
The Kimchi Festival is gaining popularity as more people avoid making kimchi themselves; they simply apply for salted napa cabbage and seasoning and only need to mix it at home.
Every year around this time, households worried about making kimchi can easily prepare it, which leads to increasing sales year after year.
County Governor Shim Min said, “The napa cabbage and agricultural products produced in clean Imsil and the convenience of receiving and mixing at home have increased orders every year. I hope families worried about kimchi this year will participate in the Kimchi Festival, mix it together with their families, and ease their kimchi concerns.”
He added, “We will do our best to gradually expand the scale of the Kimchi Festival to enhance the image of clean Imsil and increase consumer satisfaction.”
Orders for kimchi sets can be made by phone or through the website of the Imsil & Yangnyeom Village Project Group.
