Korean Air Selected as One of Skytrax's Top 10 Airlines Worldwide
Ranked 9th Best Airline Worldwide in 2022... Climbed 13 Spots
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Korean Air recently announced on the 21st that it was ranked 9th among the top 10 airlines in the '2022 World's Best Airlines' by SKYTRAX, a world-renowned airline quality evaluation consulting firm based in the UK. It showed a significant rise, climbing 13 places from 22nd last year to 9th this year.
SKYTRAX annually evaluates airlines worldwide based on comprehensive factors such as ▲in-flight meals ▲in-flight entertainment ▲seat comfort ▲staff service ▲price satisfaction, selecting the best airlines accordingly.
Meanwhile, Korean Air has been consecutively selected as 'Airline of the Year' and 'Cargo Airline of the Year' by Air Transport World, known as the Oscars of the aviation industry. It also received the '5-Star Airline' rating for COVID-19 safety from SKYTRAX in the UK and the highest '5-Star Rating' from APEX in the US.
Currently, Korean Air is striving to normalize in-flight services and enhance customer convenience in line with the stabilization of COVID-19. Collaborating with the world's youngest sommelier champion, Mark Almert, it plans to launch a new wine service featuring 50 newly selected wines starting from March next year.
