Gyeongnam Province-KAI-Manufacturing Subcommittee Council, Promise of Win-Win Cooperation for Companies
A cooperation agreement ceremony for win-win collaboration between large and small-to-medium enterprises was held to foster the aerospace industry and create jobs.
View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] On the afternoon of the 20th, Gyeongsangnam-do signed a win-win cooperation agreement for fostering the aerospace industry and creating jobs with KAI and the KAI Manufacturing Division Council at the Korea Aerospace Industries headquarters.
The signing ceremony was attended by Park Wan-su, Governor of Gyeongnam Province, Kang Gu-young, President of Korea Aerospace Industries, Hwang Tae-bu, Chairman of the KAI Manufacturing Division Council, and about 40 representatives of KAI partner companies.
The KAI Manufacturing Division Council is a consortium of 40 partner companies aimed at the joint development of KAI’s partner firms.
The agreement includes ▲support for the accumulation of Tomorrow Filling Deduction funds for long-term employment of small and medium-sized enterprise workers ▲support for labor costs for hiring young talent in SMEs to create youth jobs ▲financial cost support for SME management stabilization ▲welfare fund support to improve the welfare of SME workers ▲activation of the KAI Track to expand recruitment of local excellent companies for university students in the province.
They pledged to join forces to overcome the economic recovery and employment crisis in Gyeongnam.
Based on this agreement, Gyeongnam Province plans to promote projects for mutual growth and job creation through collaboration with local companies in various fields such as defense, nuclear power, automobiles, and shipbuilding.
A provincial official anticipated, “Through a new leap in the aerospace industry, the number of quality jobs preferred by the younger generation will greatly increase.”

Governor Park said, “This agreement was prepared to coexist with KAI and partner companies and to hire many local talents,” adding, “We will support policy and financial assistance for aerospace-related companies and listen carefully to opinions for the development of local industries to reflect them in provincial administration.”
