Passion and Effort for Electric Vehicles... Dongmyeong University Department of Automotive Engineering Wins Bronze at Smart e-Mobility Competition

The TEAM S.E.C team received the bronze prize by achieving balanced results in the acceleration test and durability driving performance categories.
Team leader student Gu Jong-wan said, “I believe the excellent results reflect our passion and effort for electric vehicles,” and added, “I want to thank my team members.”
The University Student Smart e-Mobility Competition was co-hosted by Yeonggwang County and the Korean Society of Automotive Engineers and was held from the 14th to the 16th at the Yeonggwang e-Mobility Research Center.
The competition featured 1,200 participants from 68 teams nationwide, competing in acceleration and endurance racing using electric vehicles (e-Mobility) designed and manufactured directly by university students.
The Department of Automotive Engineering at Dongmyung University was selected for the 4th Industrial Revolution Innovation Leading University Project in 2020 and has received about 2 billion KRW in national funding to establish laboratories and the latest practical equipment necessary for electric vehicle education and training.

The department is receiving full support from various national projects within the university, such as the LINC3.0 Project and the Engineering Education Innovation Center.
