On the 19th, An Seong-hyun won the final day of the 7th Young Guns Match Play tournament held at Stone Beach Country Club in Taean, Chungnam, defeating Moon Dong-hyun (Jemulpo High School affiliated Bangtong High School 1st grade) by 1 hole.
By winning this tournament, which carried the final 2023 national team selection points of the season, An Seong-hyun secured the qualification for the 2023 national team selection, awarded to the top six players in the national team selection points this season.
The previous youngest male golf national team record was held by Kim Min-gyu (22) at 14 years and 3 months.
An Seong-hyun said, "Since this was the last tournament of the season, I prepared hard, and I am happy to have secured my national team selection for next year along with a good result."
