View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] CU announced on the 20th that the Dokdo Love Expedition Team, composed of employees and franchise owners, along with the Dokdo Love Movement Headquarters, visited Dokdo to hold the '2022 Dokdo Love Sponsorship Event.'
Since 2014, CU has been consistently supporting Dokdo Love to practice patriotism and raise public interest and will regarding the protection of Dokdo. The visits to Dokdo, which were temporarily suspended due to COVID-19, have resumed this year after three years.
About 20 representatives of CU franchise owners from across the country participated in this event and delivered sponsorship funds to the Dokdo Love Movement Headquarters. The funds will be used for domestic and international promotional projects to correctly inform the history of Dokdo and to strengthen effective control over Dokdo.
CU will launch a customer participation donation campaign with astrophotographer Kwon Oh-cheol on the 25th, Dokdo Day. The 'Zoom In Dokdo' video, produced with a Dokdo cinema concept, will be released on Instagram and CUtube. If the number of comments reviewing the Dokdo cinema video reaches 250 within a week from the 21st, a donation of 10 million KRW will be delivered to the Dokdo Love Movement Headquarters. The donation will be used for the fundraising campaign to build Dokdo Land, the first cultural space dedicated to Dokdo.
