Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority Hosts 'Love Red Food Truck, Jjajang Day' Event for Senior Citizens Month
Serving snacks including homemade Jjajangmyeon, Tangsuyuk, and fruits
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Park Seong-hyun, YGPA) announced on the 19th that it held the ‘Love Red Food Truck, Nostalgic Jjajang Day’ event in celebration of Senior Citizens Month for the elders of Hwadong-ri village, Hwayang-myeon, Yeosu City.
This event was held as part of the ‘Rural Mobile Welfare Project’ promoted by the authority, with about 40 participants including employees of the authority and Yeosu City Senior Welfare Center, as well as members of the Yeosu City Community Security Council.
The authority served jjajangmyeon, sweet and sour pork, and fruit snacks prepared directly for about 120 elders from Hwadong-ri village who visited the Hwadong branch of Yeocheon Nonghyup where the event was held.
In addition, employees took the time to communicate by asking about the well-being of the elders who came despite the cold weather and having conversations with them.
An official from the authority said, “We are pleased to be able to serve delicious food to the elders in celebration of Senior Citizens Month,” and added, “The authority will continue warm sharing activities in the local community.”
