Kim Eui-gyeom, spokesperson for the Democratic Party, announced in a briefing that "the prosecution has arrested Kim Yong, deputy director of the Democratic Research Institute."
Spokesperson Kim said, "For the Democratic Party, it is difficult to accurately grasp the substance of the incident amid conflicting claims," but added, "for the time being, we must observe the progress of the prosecution's investigation."
He mentioned rumors about Yoo Dong-gyu's release and said, "The Democratic Party will closely examine whether there is any connection between Mr. Yoo's release and the arrest of Deputy Director Kim Yong."
The Democratic Party conveyed Kim Yong's position through text messages and other means.
