Choi Tae-won and Noh So-young Divorce Lawsuit to Conclude on December 6
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyung-min] The divorce lawsuit between SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won and Noh So-young, director of Art Center Nabi, will be concluded on December 6.
The Family Agreement Division 2 of the Seoul Family Court (Chief Judge Kim Hyun-jung) concluded the arguments from both sides during the divorce lawsuit hearing on the afternoon of the 18th and set December 6 as the date for the ruling. Accordingly, the divorce process between the two is expected to be finalized about five years after it began in 2017.
Director Noh personally attended the closed trial held that day. It was her second attendance since April 2020. Chairman Chey publicly acknowledged the existence of an extramarital child in 2015 and announced through the media that he would divorce Director Noh due to personality differences. In July 2017, he applied for divorce mediation, but as no agreement was reached, it proceeded to a lawsuit.
Director Noh, who opposed the divorce, filed a counterclaim in December 2019 agreeing to the divorce and demanded 300 million KRW in alimony and 42.29% (6.5 million shares) of SK stock held by Chairman Chey.

Chairman Chey also filed for a provisional injunction to prevent the disposal of shares until the divorce and property division lawsuit is finalized. The Seoul Family Court partially accepted Director Noh's injunction and prohibited the disposal of 3.5 million shares last April.
