Ediya Coffee to Raise Prices by up to 700 Won from November... Americano Price Frozen
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Ediya Coffee will raise prices starting in November. Although beverage prices have been frozen for the past four years, the company has ultimately decided to adjust prices due to prolonged high inflation.
Ediya Coffee announced that from the 1st of next month, it will increase the prices of 57 out of 90 beverage items by 200 to 700 KRW. However, for the signature Americano, the price will remain unchanged while the basic size will be increased from Regular to Large, and an extra shot will be added.
This price adjustment is the first in about four years since 2018.
While the company had resisted price increases until now, it explained that it has had to bear some of the rising overall costs. An Ediya Coffee representative stated, “Labor costs, logistics expenses, and raw and subsidiary material costs have sharply increased, intensifying difficulties for both franchisees and headquarters.”

Instead, beverage sizes will become more diverse. A Large size will be added to the existing Regular and Extra sizes. Accordingly, the Extra size of iced beverages will have a larger volume, and the basic size of coffee drinks will increase from Regular to Large.
