Three People Join Gwangju Honor Society Simultaneously, Drawing Attention

The Gwangju Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Park Cheolhong · Gwangju Fruit of Love) announced on the 18th that CEO Lee Yongbeom of Optonics Co., Ltd., CEO Noh Jeonggyu of Hyundai Rotec Co., Ltd., and CEO Jang Chiseong of Munjang Construction Co., Ltd. have joined as the 144th, 145th, and 146th members of the Gwangju Honor Society, respectively.
At the joining ceremony, Park Cheolhong, Chairman of the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea, Kim Donggi, the 138th member of the Gwangju Honor Society, CEOs Lee Yongbeom, Noh Jeonggyu, Jang Chiseong, Chairman Jo Seongrae, along with the CEOs' families and related personnel attended. The event proceeded with the presentation of the Honor certification plaques, donation handover, and commemorative photo session.
CEO Lee Yongbeom said, “I am proud to join the Honor Society, which leads the development of local social welfare, and I will strive to create a happy Gwangju for all.”
CEO Noh Jeonggyu stated, “As the company has grown, I believe it is a natural duty and responsibility to give back to the local community, and now I want to practice sharing for neighbors in Gwangju who are experiencing difficulties, as I have received help before.”
CEO Jang Chiseong said, “I joined because I believe the participation of social leaders in sharing is important for spreading a culture of social sharing,” and emphasized, “I hope the number of Honor Society members increases and individual large donations become more active.”
Park Cheolhong, Chairman of the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea, said, “I thank the CEOs who joined the Honor Society to deliver positive influence for neighbors in our society facing difficulties,” adding, “Your precious sharing will be a great strength to Gwangju society.”

Meanwhile, the ‘Honor Society’ is a group of individual major donors of the Community Chest of Korea established in December 2007 to encourage social leaders to take interest in social issues and participate in sharing movements to help neighbors. Membership is available to those who donate or pledge 100 million won or more, and currently, the society is approaching 3,000 members nationwide.
