Gwangju TP Establishes Foundation for Overseas Expansion of Local New Energy Industry Companies
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Gwangju Technopark recently announced on the 17th that it successfully concluded the '1st KOREA-LAOS Energy Week' event held in Vientiane, Laos.
This event was held to provide a foothold for overseas expansion of energy new industry companies from Gwangju and Jeonnam.
An export consultation meeting and IR (Investor Relations) were held to promote the excellent technology and products of energy new industry companies from Gwangju and Jeonnam, with seven companies participating, including ELT, Grida Energy, and Wonkwang Power.
In particular, the export consultation meeting saw active exchanges between domestic companies and local enterprises managing large-scale government projects in Laos, such as EDL (Electricite du Laos, Laos National Electric Power Authority).
It is evaluated that this created an opportunity to connect to future export and ODA (Official Development Assistance) projects.
The event’s organizing institutions?Gwangju Technopark, Jeonnam Technopark, Korea Electric Power Corporation, and Energy Valley Enterprise Development Institute?held a MOM (Meeting Of Minute) with EDL (Electricite du Laos) to establish a cooperation system at the government agency level between the two countries, and signed MOUs with the Korea-Laos Industrial Culture Association and EDL-GEN Solar, respectively.
