Seoul City Recruits 40 Youth Participants for 'Future Seoul Strategy Meeting'

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 16th that it will recruit about 40 young people to participate in the Future Seoul Strategy Meeting from the 17th to the 28th.
This Future Seoul Strategy Meeting is specially promoted to seek opinions from young talents with expertise in various fields in order to strengthen Seoul's competitiveness in response to the rapidly changing future.
The recruited young people will be organized into three divisions?future industries, culture & design, and communication strategy?with 10 to 14 members each, and plan to be active for about six months. Applicants must be young people aged 19 to 39, regardless of their place of residence, who are interested in Seoul city administration and have expertise in the relevant division.
The selected committee members will first engage in multifaceted and in-depth discussions on major city administration issues together with the relevant Seoul city departments to gain a deep understanding of each field, and will also conduct on-site visits. Subsequently, activities in each field will be reflected in the future strategies of each office, headquarters, and bureau through a future strategy report.

Youth wishing to participate can apply by submitting the Future Seoul Strategy Meeting application form by the 28th, and the final selected candidates will be announced in early November. Kim Cheol-hee, head of the Seoul Future Youth Planning Group, said, “It is very meaningful to reflect the voices of the 2030 generation young talents, who will lead future change and innovation, in Seoul's future vision,” and added, “We hope for active participation from capable young people who will draw Seoul's future together.”
