Paper chairs and bean bags are placed throughout the lawn, and picture books are available. Following this, on the 15th from 11 a.m., a family musical play by the Udangtang Pirate Band, a string quartet performance by the Seoul Neo Arts Group, and an indie band music performance will be held at the same location. On the 22nd and 23rd, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the ‘Autumn Five Senses Experience Program’ will be held throughout the park, including the Central Road lawn, offering various activities using fallen leaves. These include ‘Leaf Drawing,’ ‘Making Leaf Stamps,’ and ‘Making Autumn Scent Pouches.’ There is also a program called ‘Dressing Animal Families in Autumn Clothes,’ where children draw on large banners together with professional artists. Those who wish to participate can register on-site.
From the 22nd, ‘Leaf Treasure Plogging,’ which involves collecting colorful fallen leaves while plogging (picking up trash while jogging) during a walk in Seoul Children’s Grand Park, will be held near the lawn plaza. This is also conducted through on-site registration. Additionally, a ‘Blue Sea Paper Art’ program, where participants who have completed the Blue Sea Classroom course create paper art, will be held.
Various photo zones and night views can also be enjoyed. A ‘Leaf Art’ photo zone using fallen leaves and an ‘Autumn Flower Photo Zone’ featuring chrysanthemums and cosmos, representative autumn flowers, will be installed at the Grand Park Four Seasons Garden, the lawn yard, and the Kkumnarae Garden respectively. Furthermore, solar-powered lawn lights and maple leaf lighting will be installed along the walking path near the Guuimun restaurant, allowing visitors to enjoy the unique and romantic atmosphere of the Grand Park autumn nights.
Meanwhile, throughout October, the corporation operates the ‘Autumn Garden Experience Class’ every Saturday, where children can experience gardening, and on Sundays at the zoo, the ‘Special Autumn Guests of the Special Animal Land’ program, where children learn about the feeding and ecological habits of baby animals through role-playing. These programs can be reserved and used through the Seoul City Public Service Reservation System.
