The Korea Federation of Savings Banks Celebrates 50th Anniversary with 'Green Walking Donation Challenge'
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] The Korea Federation of Savings Banks is launching the "Green Walking Donation Challenge" on the 12th to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the founding of savings banks.
The Federation will donate 50 million KRW to support the independence of people with developmental disabilities if participants collectively achieve 500 million steps within a month. Among participants who donate more than 100,000 steps, 2,000 people will be selected by lottery to receive mobile coffee coupon vouchers. The event is open to all employees of savings banks and the public, who can participate through the WalkOn application.

Oh Hwa-kyung, President of the Korea Federation of Savings Banks, said, "The reason savings banks have been able to grow over the past 50 years is entirely thanks to the support of the entire nation," adding, "I hope this challenge becomes an opportunity to care for the socially vulnerable."
