Sacheon Mado Galbangasori Preservation Society Holds Public Event for Ki and Performing Arts
On the 14th at 2 PM, at the Intangible Cultural Heritage Training Center
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Sacheon Mado Galbangasori Preservation Society will hold the '2022 Sacheon Mado Galbangasori Ki·Art Performance Public Event' at 2 PM on the 14th at the Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritage Transmission Education Center.
This public event is organized for the transmission and preservation of Sacheon Mado Galbangasori, Gyeongnam Province Intangible Cultural Heritage No. 28, and will proceed with Part 1 introducing the origin of Mado Galbangasori and the transmission personnel, Part 2 demonstrating Mado Galbangasori, and Part 3 performing Mado Galbangasori.
Students from Daebang Elementary School, designated as a traditional fostering school for Gyeongnam Province Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2008 and receiving transmission of Mado Galbangasori, will participate in this demonstration event.
Last year, the event was held non-face-to-face to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection, but this time various events are prepared so that citizens and transmission personnel can breathe and enjoy together.
Mado Galbangasori is a work song sung when applying a scraper to the hemp net used for catching gizzard shad or when catching gizzard shad.
