‘Ogu Play Disciplinary Action’ Yoon Ina "Gives Up Appeal"... "No Challenge to the US Stage Either"
Yoo Yina Accepts KLPGA 3-Year Suspension "I Will Reflect"
Also Does Not Apply for LPGA Tour Qualifying Series Participation
[Asia Economy Reporter No Woo-rae] Yoon Ina (19, photo), who was suspended from participating in tournaments for three years by the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA), did not file an appeal.
A representative from Crowning, Yoon Ina's management company, said on the 11th, "Yoon Ina did not request a rehearing." Yoon Ina was suspended from all tournaments for three years by the KLPGA last month. This penalty was issued because she violated tournament rules during the DB Group Korea Women's Open in June this year. On the 15th hole of the first round, Yoon Ina's tee shot drifted to the right, and she found the ball in the rough and continued playing, but later, knowing that the ball was not hers, she continued the game.
About a month after the rule violation, in July, Yoon Ina voluntarily reported the wrong play to the Korea Golf Association. She also stopped participating in tournaments after issuing an apology on July 25. In August, she was suspended from participating in association-organized tournaments for three years by the Korea Golf Association, and last month, the KLPGA added its own penalty. Yoon Ina could have requested a rehearing within 15 days from the date she was notified of the KLPGA disciplinary action but did not do so.
Expressing remorse, Yoon Ina said, "I am sorry. I apologize once again for causing concern to my fellow players and everyone due to my mistake," and added, "I feel even more sorry for disappointing many people."

Yoon Ina also did not apply to participate in the LPGA Tour Qualifying (Q) Series, which closed on the same day. After the disciplinary announcements by the Korea Golf Association and KLPGA, there were criticisms that a three-year suspension was excessive for a young player, but this reflects her intention to humbly accept the disciplinary results as initially stated.
