New COVID-19 Cases Rise Again to Over 10,000... "Decline in Re-epidemic Continues" (Update)

According to the Central Disease Control Headquarters on the 11th, as of midnight, 15,476 new COVID-19 cases were added, bringing the total cumulative cases to 24,995,246. Among these, 15,381 were domestic cases, and 95 were imported cases.
Although the number of new cases increased by 6,495 compared to the previous day (8,981), the decreasing trend continues. Compared to a week ago on the 4th (16,415 cases), it is 939 fewer, and in terms of Tuesday's new cases, it is the lowest in 15 weeks since June 28 (9,889 cases), just before the resurgence.
From the 5th to the 11th, the daily new cases were 34,731 → 28,638 → 22,298 → 19,431 → 17,654 → 8,981 → 15,476, averaging 21,030 cases per day.
The number of critically ill patients hospitalized increased by 2 from the previous day to 313. Over the past week from the 5th to the 11th, the number of critically ill patients was 333 → 325 → 329 → 287 → 305 → 311 → 313. The nationwide critical care bed occupancy rate is 19.1%, with 18.8% in the metropolitan area and 19.9% in non-metropolitan areas.

The number of COVID-19 deaths reported in one day was 10, which is 13 fewer than the previous day. By age group, 8 were aged 80 or older, and 1 each in their 70s and 40s. The total cumulative deaths are 28,708, with a fatality rate of 0.11%. Currently, 116,487 confirmed patients are undergoing home treatment, with 14,083 new home treatment cases reported the previous day.
