Korean Studies Authority, Former Professor Okayama from Japan, Appointed Honorary Ambassador of Gyeongbuk Province

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Koo Dae-sun] Gyeongbuk Province appointed Professor Okayama Zenichiro (72), a Japanese scholar and authority on Korea-Japan relations, as the 'Honorary Ambassador of Gyeongbuk Province' on the 6th.
Gyeongbuk Province explained that they appointed Professor Okayama because they expect him to play a significant role in promoting Gyeongbuk, the original land of Silla, to Japan.
Professor Okayama Zenichiro (岡山善一) is a former professor of Korean language at Tenri University in Japan, who retired after his tenure. He currently serves as the vice president of the East Asian Ancient Studies Association and as an advisor to the Japanese Association of Korean Studies.
Professor Okayama is known as an authority on Korean studies in Japan, actively engaged in various activities such as lectures on ancient Korea-Japan relations, cultural exchanges between Silla and Japan, and the challenges and directions of Korea-Japan international exchanges.
