Audi Unveils Level 4 Autonomous Driving 'Urban Sphere Concept' for the First Time in Korea
'House of Progress' Brand Exhibition Event Held
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Audi’s ‘Audi Urbansphere Concept’ car equipped with Level 4 autonomous driving capability was unveiled for the first time in Korea.
Audi Korea held a media conference at the ‘House of Progress’ located on Garosu-gil, Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu on the 7th. From the 8th of this month, the ‘House of Progress’ brand exhibition event will be held. The House of Progress is Audi’s brand exhibition pavilion showcased in major cities worldwide, including the IAA 2021 Munich International Motor Show. The exhibition features Audi’s ‘Audi RS e-tron GT’ and ‘The New Audi Q4 e-tron,’ along with five Audi electric vehicles currently launched in Korea and Audi’s flagship sedan, the ‘Audi A8.’
Im Hyun-ki, President of Audi Korea, stated, “We want to show the future mobility Audi envisions, a progressive lifestyle that is completely and meaningfully connected to our daily lives,” adding, “We are focusing on providing customers with a more meaningful and attractive premium mobility experience.”
The concept car unveiled for the first time in Korea that day, the ‘Audi Urbansphere Concept,’ is the largest and most recently introduced among the three Sphere series. Designed thoroughly with the occupant in mind, the spacious interior can sometimes serve as a lounge and mobile office, and at other times as a moving cinema. Additionally, optimized digital technology allows it to pick up passengers using destination information and independently find parking spaces to charge its battery. The Audi Urbansphere Concept is realized through Level 4 autonomous driving capabilities along with various digital technologies.

The House of Progress is open to the public without reservation until the 16th. On weekdays, it is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on weekends from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
