Genesis Sponsors Over 100 Vehicles at the 27th Busan International Film Festival
Provision of Official Vehicles Including G90 Long Wheelbase and GV70 Electrified Models
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Genesis announced on the 5th that it will officially sponsor the ‘27th Busan International Film Festival’ held until the 14th.
The Busan International Film Festival, which started its first edition in 1996 and is now celebrating its 27th edition this year, is the largest film festival in Asia and has greatly contributed to the growth and discovery of Asian cinema alongside the Tokyo International Film Festival and the Hong Kong International Film Festival.
Genesis has been sponsoring the Busan International Film Festival since 2017 to contribute to the development of the Korean and Asian film industries. This year’s ‘27th Busan International Film Festival,’ held normally for the first time in three years without social distancing, is also officially sponsored by Genesis, continuing the partnership for six consecutive years.
During the ‘27th Busan International Film Festival,’ Genesis will provide a total of about 100 Genesis vehicles, including the G90 Long Wheelbase (LWB) and the GV70 electrified model, as official protocol cars for major film directors, actors, and festival officials attending the event.
In particular, on the day of the opening ceremony, the red carpet event will be enhanced by live broadcasting participants’ entrance videos through the 8-meter-high ‘Genesis Media Tower’ along with official protocol vehicle support, adding to the festival’s passionate atmosphere.
Genesis will also display a total of five vehicles inside the Busan Cinema Center, where the festival is held, offering visitors an opportunity to experience various Genesis models.
At the ‘Genesis Brand Zone’ booth operated in the plaza, the G90 Long Wheelbase (LWB) vehicle, selected as the hero car of this festival, will be exhibited. The ‘BIFF X GENESIS Outdoor Stage,’ jointly organized by the Busan International Film Festival and Genesis, will showcase the GV70 electrified model and the GV80. The GV60 and G70 Shooting Brake vehicles can also be seen throughout the Cinema Center.
During the festival period, excluding the opening and closing ceremonies, various customer participation events will be held to enhance the enjoyment of the festival, such as a photo event where visitors can take pictures with the G70 Shooting Brake vehicle displayed on the red carpet and print them for free.
