Taeyoung Construction Obtains ISO 37001 Certification for Anti-Corruption Management System
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] Taeyoung Construction announced on the 5th that it obtained the international standard certification for anti-corruption management systems, ‘ISO 37001,’ on the 30th of last month as part of its commitment to ethical management and strengthening internal control procedures.
‘ISO 37001’ is a global anti-corruption management system standard established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in October 2016 to prevent corruption by rational and systematic management of corruption risks faced by organizations.
Since June, Taeyoung Construction has formed a task force (TF) to acquire the ‘ISO 37001’ certification, working to build an anti-corruption management system reflecting international standards through department-wise situation analysis and identification of improvements, declaration of anti-corruption policies, revision of internal regulations and guidelines, and conducting internal training.
With this certification, Taeyoung Construction expects to reduce legal violation risks caused by corrupt acts such as bribery, increase trust with customers, share anti-corruption awareness and improve partnerships with collaborators, and meet anti-corruption system certification requirements demanded in various bids including those from public institutions.
Additionally, having established an ESG Committee in March and actively promoting ‘ESG management,’ Taeyoung Construction plans to further strengthen the transparency of governance (G) in its ‘ESG management’ based on this certification acquisition.

A Taeyoung Construction official stated, "We will continuously improve and supplement the international standard ‘ISO 37001’ to establish a transparent corporate ethical culture and realize sustainable management," adding, "Through this, we will further solidify the company’s policy to strengthen ‘ESG management.’"
