JoyCity Subsidiary RodbyWebtoon Changes Name to 'Joyple Entertainment'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] JoyCity announced on the 4th that its subsidiary 'RoadB Webtoon' has changed its name to 'Joyple Entertainment.'
The new name 'Joyple Entertainment' is a combination of Joy and People, reflecting the company's intention to develop content that brings joy to readers.
This year, Joyple Entertainment has released various works such as 'Shining Summer' and 'Daegongnim-ui Aewan Suin' (The Duke's Pet Beast). Among them, 'Daegongnim-ui Aewan Suin' ranked first in the KakaoPage real-time rankings since its serialization began in July. Additionally, the company signed a serialization contract with the Chinese webtoon platform 'Kuaikan,' entering the global market.
Joyple Entertainment is currently producing over 10 novel comics and original webtoon titles, including fantasy genres. Next year, they plan to release webtoons utilizing the intellectual property (IP) of their parent company, JoyCity's games.
