Autumn Music Festival 'Seoul Music Festival' Held at 'Noeul Myeongso' Nodeulseom
Four-Day Daily Performances Featuring Various Popular Music Genres Including R&B, Hip-Hop, and Ballads
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 27th that it will hold the Seoul Music Festival at Nodeul Island for four days from the 13th to the 16th of next month.
The Seoul Music Festival is a music festival featuring performances of various genres of popular music and is a representative festival of 'Emotional Culture City Seoul,' where culture and arts thrive throughout the four seasons. This year’s event will offer music performances with different atmospheres each day against the backdrop of the beautiful sunset scenery of Nodeul Island, along with various side events.
The main performances, starting from 7 p.m., are organized under four themes that embody the meaning of ‘filling’ autumn: ‘Beauty-Full,’ ‘Soul-Full,’ ‘Power-Full,’ and ‘Wonder-Full.’ Top-tier singers such as Baek Ji-young, Gummy, Dynamic Duo, Soran, and WoongSan will take the stage.
This Seoul Music Festival will also feature a stage filled with the youthful energy of university students. At the Nodeul Square sub-stage, students from the practical music departments of six domestic universities, including Dong-Ah Institute of Media and Arts, Seoul Institute of the Arts, Kyung Hee University, and Hanyang University, will represent their schools and showcase their talents in the ‘Next Generation Street Performance (Busking).’
A music story concert is also prepared for young people aspiring to become professionals in the music industry, such as producers, lyricists/composers, and singers. Go Young-bae, the vocalist of the indie band ‘Soran,’ will host the event, with music producer Ryan Jeon and actress Park So-hyun participating as guests. They will share their accumulated work secrets, musical perspectives, and discuss idol and fandom culture while interacting with the audience.
Additionally, the ‘2022 Seoul Music Festival’ is held in conjunction with ‘Seoul Beauty Month,’ a festival combining the beauty industry and cultural content. It will operate beauty experience spaces such as finding one’s own ‘personal color (customized color),’ with participation from beauty companies like Clio, Dear Dahlia, and Mediol.
